December Volunteer Spotlight
Lorrie Norwood – a senior from Rockingham County High School is doing her senior project on training the Rolling Ridge Llama (Osama Bin Llama) to be a therapy llama. Keynon Settle, a member of the Rolling Ridge Equestrian Team helped Lorrie with her project.
The llama is learning to lead, and respond to commands such as “whoa” (stop) and to carry a child on his back.
Depending on the llama’s progress, you may see Osama in the ring sometime in 2013!
